The Caribbean Court Hotel

The Caribbean Court Hotel

When you are in the Treasure Coast area of Florida which includes Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce, you now have a deluxe class hotel that offers many of the amenities of the large five star hotels of Europe and Asia.  The Caribbean Court Hotel is a quaint yet modern boutique hotel of only 18 rooms, each with its own special character.

The brainchild of Boris Gonzales, this unique hotel has evolved after extensive renovation of an older hotel that did not survive the ravages of neglect or hurricanes.  Mr. Gonzales, with his personal touch and fine taste, has not overlooked any details during the renovation of this magnificent  property located in Vero Beach just a hundred yards from the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.  When arriving at the Caribbean Court, you see beautifully landscaped grounds with a tropical appearance that makes you feel like you are on an island in the Caribbean.  The parking area is tastefully done with paver stones instead of the mundane concrete or asphalt parking lots at other hotels.  Your first impression is that you have arrived at a private estate to spend the day or evening.  We also found out that the Mercedes in the parking lot was available to pick up guests who arrived on their private planes in Vero Beach or who flew in to West Palm Beach.  It is like staying at the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong and being picked up at the airport in their Rolls Royce.

Upon entering the office and lobby area, we were greeted by Giselle who was very friendly and took care of us as if we were her family.  The office area is very warm and inviting and the sitting area is homey.  When we were taken to our room on the second floor, we found a very nice room with everything that one would expect from a five star hotel.  The furniture in the room included antiques, a very comfortable bed, a mini kitchen area to make coffee, toast, or cook a small meal in the microwave, a mini bar stocked with wines and champagne, bright and colorful art, a hand painted sink, and a day bed.  The bathroom area was renovated to the maximum considering the limitations because of the size available from the original building.  We opened the door to our veranda and we had a magnificent view of the courtyard below with the fantastic plants, flowers and trees along with the crystal clear blue water pool below.   After five minutes at the hotel, we fell in love with the property.

The next morning, we went down to have a light continental breakfast that was included with our room.  Prior to breakfast, Giselle gave us a tour of the 206 seat Maison Martinque Restaurant featuring chef and host Yannick & Valerie Martin that will be opening very soon.  Again, Mr. Gonzales outdid himself in the decorations and design of this Five Star dining facility featuring one of the best chefs in the entire area.  Giselle suggested that we have our breakfast at one of the tables that were poolside which we fully enjoyed.  We were also impressed by the friendliness of the entire staff and the other guests who were staying at the hotel.  We felt like we were staying at a private home instead of a hotel for the three days we were at the Caribbean Court.  My husband and I even remarked about little things such as the way the turn down service was done at night, the trays used for the glasses in the room, the glasses sealed with clear stretch plastic, and the ice bucket on the stand that could also be used to keep our bottle of wine or champagne chilled.   For quiet elegance that is quaint, the Caribbean Court Hotel in Vero Beach is our number one choice.

This is a perfect place for businesses or groups to have a retreat or meeting for their employees or executives.  This is also a great setting for a wedding or family reunion.  Everything is available, good food, good lodging, great pool and garden area, the beach, and closeness to the restored beach area of Vero Beach with the designer shops and galleries.  You can get anything from a delicious ice cream cone to a fine Rolex watch or an exquisite piece of fine art all located within a few blocks of each other.
